Susan Davids

Granny Patricia Bussack recently came to register her 4-year-old grandchild for our ECD program. She shared this precious testimony:
Another grandchild of her, Liam Fortuin, attended our Moms-for-Wellington program about 7 years ago. She testifies how much it meant to her that in a time when life was extremely tough, she could bring him to us to be fed, loved and taught how to pray. She remembers how he would come home and repeat all the Bible verses he had learned. When he graduated from our program, he received a schoolbag with stationary. She was overwhelmed with gratitude sins she couldn’t afford to buy it for him.
Today Liam is a grade 7 learner at Wellington Primary School. He has received various diplomas for academic work and is a school prefect as well. She says, “In our community our children easily get involved with the things of the world and here he is today, still walking according to what was planted in his heart years ago”.
She is grateful for people like Moms-for-Wellington who cares for the children of the community and allows the Lord to use them in vulnerable children’s lives.
Hybri completed our ECD programme (Klein Juweeltjies) in December 2017. He has been part of our children’s ministry program since the age of 3.
Due to difficult circumstances at home, he was never enrolled in primary school at the appropriate age. In 2017 he was placed in foster care with his aunt who co operated with our team to prepare him for formal school. January 2018, he started his formal school career at Newton Primary. He was placed in grade 3 due to his age. After evaluation by the school, it was decided that his scholastic development was on par with his peers. The commitment, care and teaching that he has received over the past 6 years from Moms-for-Wellington, as well as, the grace of God, made this extraordinary achievement possible.
We praise God and are humbled by the fruit of our hands.
