I am 5 years old and attend school at the “Juweeltjies” in the Mosaic Centre in Blignaut Street, Wellington. Our school is part of “Ma’s-vir-Wellington” community project and here they prepare me to be ready for Big School which I will be attending next year.

This school term we went on a trip and travelled by train, got on an airplane and did a boat trip. By car we drove all around town. Yes, we learned everything about transportation. We also now know all the different stores and shops in our town and also know the people who are helping us and takes care of us. Some of my friends wants to become firefighters one day and there is a lot of them who wants to become nurses.

We had our own shop in the classroom and the cash register made a “bleep” sound every time we bought something. There was many products from the Little Shop from Checkers from which we could choose. Our Teacher gave us a real wallet with money to buy these toy products. We enjoyed it very much.
