Love
“For God so loved the world that He gave…” John 3:6
Now, the greatest gift we could possibly give is time. Even though it may feel like we don’t have much to offer, no matter how little it may seem to us, it can have a meaningful impact on the life of someone in need.
After the devastating fires we experienced in March, our mountains and the Beulah Retreat Centre were covered in terrible and heavy soot. We gathered willing hands, buckets and brooms and early on a Friday morning rolled up our sleeves to start the big clean-up.
“Greater is He that is in us…” 1 John 4:4
As we faithfully served, He who is in us faithfully worked and ministered to our hearts and by this we can gladly follow in His example that He came not to be served, but to serve.
As a tutor for children with special needs, Elra Smit joined Moms-for-Wellington to be involved with adults with intellectual disability. Currently 2 adults, Leen and Geaven, attend sessions focused on improving social and emotional skills.
We have 56 volunteers actively involved in the program.
